Has anyone ever seen an alien throw a grenade? I have completed dozens of missions and have never had one throw my way.

I asked the same thing in another thread, and the response was "only the little floating heads". That is their primary weapon though. I have never seen an alien other than those throw a grenade, seek cover, or do anything other than the "Acquire target, move to target, shoot target" sequence.

I'm glad too, as I have a tendency to group my troops too close together.
Now that it's later in the game and the aliens are using area weapons I'm having to learn not to do that.

I've been doing some AI work in my mod and that is one of the first things I fixed.  I've done alot of other AI tweaks.  If you want to check it out you can find it at the link below.  The AI tweaks as well as most of the other game tweaks are customizable from within the game.

By the way, great mod bman. I can't imagine playing without it.

Aye to that. Anybody who is bitching about the lack of grenades needs to fire up this puppy. Trust me, Thou shalt never speakth of 'tis again.

By the way, great mod bman. I can't imagine playing without it.

Actually, the range of grenades I thin was a little shorter in the old game. Anyway, plan on losing a warrior per mission now. The Bman mod nails you! [:D]

By the way, just a word of warning, on harder difficulty settings the aliens have more health (I think an extra 50% on HARD over Normal difficulty) and thus Grenade War is not as effective.
 
All I know is this ...
 
On Normal difficulty a single grenade can take down most enemies of the appropriate type.
 
On Hard difficulty a single grenade is not enough ... need 2.
