game freezes during play

I have been trying to play either juno beach or utah beach and during the 1st round of moves the game will freeze up.? This doesn't happen on any of the other scenarios that I've played(at least not yet). Am running version 7.0, what can I do to fix this?

There is a beta patch available for download you can try that fixes other issues with 7.0. See this thread for location and instructions
Beta 7.1 download location Also some specs on your computer to included Operating System might help. If your running anything higher that Win 98SE turn off command and control in the preference screen (if it's on.) Also try deleting the steel.prf file in the MatrixGames/SPWAW/save folder. Restart the game, the game will recreate it when you adjust anything in the preference screen. Let us know if any of this helps.
