Does CAW support widescreen resolution? Can it run in window?

Yes and yes! I'm playing at 1680x1050 just fine.

Carriers at War runs just fine in a window. It supports a number of different resolutions, plus the Advanced Options let you specify your own resolution, if the defaults don't suit.
