This AAR between Marseille and me only. He is spanish like me; he will play with japanese and me with allied. CHS 2.08d with NIk Mod and Soviet Fleet (Scen 158).
Sub doctrine on both, Historical first turn, reinforcements +/-15 days, Surprise ON.

House Rules agree:

1.- Kido Butai must return to metropolitan waters to begin new operations. If Wake will not fall in the first japanese landing, then japanese player can send two carriers with escorts to work in the Wake area. American carriers (USS Lexington and USS Enterprise) must to return to PH before new ops.

2.- Max aircrafts by airfield 50xlvl (+10% up). Bases with 0 lvl airfield can operate with 36 patrol or floatplanes.

3.- Japanes player can not strategic bombing over Resources, Heavy Industry or Oil factories at China theatre.

4.- Allied Player con not strategic bombing any allied base taken by japanes player. In other words, any base captured by japanese but allied at Dec 7th can not be strategic bombed by allied planes

5.- 4-e bombers can not fly naval mission under 10.000 feet. From January 1943 can not fly naval missions except 4-e bombers in USNavy squadrons.

6.- b-29 bombers can only fly from airfield lvl 6 or up.

7.- ASW with no more 6 ships.

8.- PT´s in one hex all in the same Task Force.

9.- No sub invasions.

10.-Japanese submarines only can board Glenn floatplanes.

11.- Japanes player can not cross Malacca Straits to West until Singapore falls in his hands.

12.- AVG must stand-by at Burma until dec 20th 1941. In this date AVG must enter at China airfields except if they are changed by political points to another Command.

13.- Japanese player cannot upgrade light bombers sqdns or dive bombers sqdn in heavy bombers or viceversa. Allied player can not upgrade light or medium bombers in 4-e bombers.

14.- Any player can send any ship beyond her endurance, except if in the same TF she is going with a replenishment ship or supply ship.

15.- Invansion by landings only from AP-AK-APD ships or similar.

16.- Command Restrictions:

All unit must pay political points to change operating area except transit units.

South East Asia Command (CW): They can move free at India, Burma, Malaya and Ceylan.

SouthWest Pac: They can move free between DEI and Suva Island -DEI-Australia-New Zealand-New Guinea-PI-New Caledonian).

China Command: Can not move out China except SEAC units.

USAFFE: Can not move out of PI. Only US units that change command can go out from Phillipines (paying political points)

Asiatic Fleet: Free to move between PI-DEI-Australia-China-New Guinea

ABDA Command: Dutch units can not leave DEI. They must pay political points to move between DEI islands. Naval dutch units are free.

Canada Command: Canadian units can only move at Canada, Alaska, Aleutians and Kurile islands.

I will try in this play to probe a new defensive strategy. The beginning idea is a strong forward defensive attitude with several strong point to hold up any further japanese advance. These strong points will be: Mandalay at Burma, Singapore at Malaya, Soerabaja and Koepang at DEI, Port Moresby at New Guinea, Noumea at New Caledonia, Suva at Fidji, Canton Island at South Pac, Palmyra and Pearl at Central Pac and Dutch Harbor at North Pac. I will gather all defensive efforts(forts, supplies, troops, aircrafts and HQs) at these bases and sometimes I´ll try to strike back in the weaker enemy area.
I´ll pay special attention to Singapore fortress defense. Political Points will be spend to send urgent reinforcements to DEI-Singapore (fighters, 4-e bombers at Singapore, troops at Java).

USNavy Carrier Force will be send to SouthPac in the rear of Canton Island awaiting for opportunity strike with 2nd USMC Striking Force (2nd USMC Marine Div, 2nd USMC Para Bn, 2nd USMC Defense Bn and 2nd Marine Raider Bn), Royal Navy carriers will be send to North Australia to support Timor and USN and Dutch submarines will work like minelayers at DEI from Soerabaja (with the british MLE support). Submarine forward bases will be supported by AS ships at Palmyra, Noumea, Brisbane, Dutch Harbor, and Soerabaja.

In China I´ll try to annoy enemy shipping links at South China Sea with Wenchow and Nanning air facilities when AVG will be ready for action at China (1st AVG Sqdn will be send to Singapore, with second probably too). Offensive efforts at China will be taken to capture Ichang. It let a supply link with Chungking in the central China area.

Convoy systems will be departure from Aden to Java, Calcutta and West Australia. From Panama I´ll send convoys to South Pac (South Australia-South Pacific) and from WestCoast convoys will be heading to Central Pac (Canton-Palmyra-Pearl). From Canada I´ll send supplies to NorthPac.

At Burma with Commonwealth troops I´ll try a defensive line at Irrawaddy river with Mandalay like strong point. SouthEast Command HQ will departure from Ceylan to Mandalay with HQ India Command and several main units (several arty reg and armour units) with a strong strategic reserve at Dacca-Calcutta.
I´ll send a troop convoy from Bombay and Karachi to Calcutta.

In my defensive strategy, Singapore play an special role.... Fighters from Phillipine Island (transfered from USAFFE to SouthEast Command) have bee detach to Singapore to keep air superiority over british bastion.
Several fighters have been sent to several ports in the nearby area to collect supplies as soon as possible.

Royal Navy Eastern Fleet will have base at Soerabaja with air cover from dutch. A convoy from Karachi will departure as soon as possible with 18th UK Division to reinforcement the british fortress of Singapore.

AS soon Khota Bharu falls in japanese hands, a strike back have been planned with light bombers with heavy escorts. American P-40 stay back at Singapore like CAP.

In the picture allied attack over Kotha Bharu airfield (yesterday was 43 port damage, 21 sevice damage and 33 runaway damaged).
