I'd say a big YES. as pretty as this game is it's not a resource hog and runs smooth as silk on both my XP and Vista rigs[8D].

I have the same question. I'm not very knowledgeable about graphics cards. And I do realize my computer is four years old now. Here are my basic specs:
Intel Celeron 2.0 ghz
1 gb ram
Integrated Intel 3d AGP graphics
Intel 82845G graphics controller
Intel Extreme graphics driver
Or something like that
Thanks in advance for answers.

The requirements, except for version of DX are pretty much dated 1999-2000.

Integrated Graphics cards can be finicky...i would guess if you can run any other SSG title you'd be fine. This is a question Marc S. could answer[8D].

Another quick question. Is sound needed to play, or are there visual prompts to let you know what is going on? I almost never play with sound or music. Sound effects makes me think that I'm playing with my old Atari.....

Sounds are not a high point in the game [:D] You could safely turn them off and not miss anything. I do like the music selections though.

No, you don't need sound to play, you can turn it and the music off individually.

You should have no problems but more RAM can't hurt. I have 2 gigs on mine.

Adding ram is just about the cheapest upgrade to do!!

My rig was built for FPS so any wargame will run fine on it.

FYI, after reading these and a few more comments, I downloaded. Game runs fine. I get thrown by things like Geforce 2. What the hell is that, I wonder. Then someone had explained it is a rather old card on one thread. And I googled a couple of things and went ahead and downloaded. It runs fine.

A video card....and video card compatability is one of the FIRST things you check for when considering a game.
Frankly, and I am not trying to be rude, you really need to pick up a copy of Computers for Dummies if you are going to using computers. It explains all the terminology very clearly.
If you have problems with understanding a list of requirements, you really need to bone up a little. It will save you a lot of grief in the future.
