Just a couple more noob questions!

1) Tank units...For instance, lets say you have a Japanese tank unit on the map. Does it say tank or Lg. Tank or is it an actual tank used by the Japanese, let's say for example, a Type 94? Is this the same for guns? Instead of a generic AT gun, it might say Pak 88 or something to that nature?
I've tried looking for info as to how detailed the units are, but I haven't had any luck. There a site that shows the units for each country?
2) Does the game keep track of losses after each battle?
Thanks!

1) Tank units differ by type and model. Most can be recognized by the image used. When a unit is selected you can press F2 and get detailed information about the unit, such as the cost in movement points for the scenario ground conditions and a text info box with historical information.
2) If you play a campaign game you will command a "core" unit and the computer will track your losses from battle to battle. If you do well your units will get better morale, but as you take losses your units get smaller. You may get replacements to increase your strength but that will lower your morale as the replacements are not experienced. Campaigns are only playable against the computer and you will have some troops that are not part of your core unit, which always start at full strength but never gain experience.

Bruce,
A PaK-88 is a Pak-88, a STuG is a STuG, a Sherman is a Sherman. Yes sir, they are specific to their type and identity. F-2 will bring up the unit information screen which give you MP info, Hit point info, and who the unit was/is historically assigned to plus some narrative about the weapon/squad composition and enterence into the theatre.
Sry, can't answer #2.
Have fun,
Jeff
