Wish List Ideas (for mods or patches)

1. I wish there was more collateral damage in the game.
IMO, there are not enough secondary explosions. By that I mean, if you shoot and hit something that is supposed to blow up (ie, fuel barrel, ammo crate, missle, etc...) ...it does so rather unimpressively, not really damaging nearby units, just kinda scorching the floor black in that square.
I remember back in the day...(reminisicing of Xcom)...stuff was really explosive and collateral damage was a major strategic element. One of my favorite Xcom maps was the city map with the gas station on it...any aliens staning next to those pumps when a grenade went off...heheheh! [8D]
So, minor wish list item one, things need to go BOOM more, and bigger. Fuel drums, boxes marked ammo, those missles in the military base, even parked cars should have a chance of a Hollywood style fuel tank explosion. AND an explosion should be able to set off a chain reaction...one fuel drum igniting nearby ones, for example.
In the same vein...anyone felled by a fire attack...the grenades being carried should start to burst like popcorn while laying in the flame zone like that!
2. Footprints in the sand/snow. Both humans and aliens make them, if you notice. And vehicles leave tire mark trails. The problem is, the alien footprints seem to vanish after only one turn. Human footprints and tire tracks do not. Why is that? This makes no sense...AND disavantages the human player, which can utilize this info for tracking purposes. VERY strategical, this is a nice gameplay touch that for some strange unexplained reason is not QUITE in the game.
I wish alien footprints were not removed like that after only one turn.
