Couldn't get an answer on my last thread, so here goes again. After finally getting the game
to work in Vista (see other thread), I now have only intermittent sound when playing the
game. Am not playing the tutorial due to the caution in the readme, but a regular game.
The sound plays great in the beginning movies, and does have the crackling sounds from the radio
But when you play the game, the sound only occurs every now and then. I have the option on the
sidebar all the way up, the the windows slider is up also. Anyone have a clue how to fix this?? Thanks

COTA as such does not claim to support Vista. It was released before Vista came out. Unfortunately we don't have a Vista machine here yet. So I can't even begin to check out why the sound is causing problems. However, it's well documented already that majority of problems experienced with Vista and pre-Vista software are related to the drivers for sound and graphics. I would check and ensure you have the latest drivers for the sound card ( or on-board sound device ) in your machine. Ensure that its Vista compatible. Even so it maybe that these are still incompatible with COTA. We don't claim that it should be.
