Well, i see at least 2 - and maybe 3 if you count the dock as a "seaplane" field... there is also something that looks like a heliport (does that count as an "airfield"?)

Well, it is on the left side of the shot, but 'hidden' under the main road running roughly East-West - the road was built on top of the runway. It was the original airstrip built in 1937.
Here is a more detailed shot of what is called Boram Airfield, the right-hand airstrip built by the Japanese. Watch those bomb craters after all those years...
See the big crater in the upper left corner of the area between the taxiways? Now, I want to know what kind of bomb made it, what fuse settings, what 'message' had been scribbled on the bomb by the ground crew, date and time of the mission, the plane's type, tail number, nickname and nose art scheme, the pilot's name, nickname, birthdate, shoe size and what he had for breakfast the day of the mission, his girlfriend's name, the name of his girlfriend's girlfriend, and the name of the guy she was screwing around with while her boyfriend was risking his life bombing Wewak. THAT should be a bit more difficult, no? [;)]

Some might remember my 'Where's this?' threads from a few years back, but I love to be now on the guessing end - keep it up!

Edit: Might actually be interesting to check whether they have updated the quality of some of the areas by now...
Edit2: Yepp, much improved quality for most locations, except for GiliGili/Milne Bay. I like the wakes of those ships abroaching Kendari [;)]

The 380th was broken up into different elements - some in Oz, some in NZ, so the missions might not match up as multiple missions could occur. And, of course, there were multiple organizations in the 5th AF, and the USAAF C.C. apparently only lists the main efforts.
In fact, this mission did occur (according the "official" 380th website - which i have bookmarked at home) - and the aircraft (and commander) are correct. You have to check the individual aircraft in the bombing group to find the info (it has a record of all their missions by *aircraft* [8|]). The aircraft, model, serial number, commander, etc are all correct - it even lists the pilot's serial number! The website is still working on their list of missions, so this info wasn't easy to dig out!! (i'll post a URL and screenshot of the info later if i am still doubted...[:'(])
EDIT - i WILL admit i got creative on a few of the later questions!!! (as well as question #3) [:D]
