Use a widescreen guys and set my harpoon display settings in the configuration utility to 1081,725 and run it in a window. Anyways when opening (game.exe,sceneditor.exe) a file written in either exe. the maps can come out pretty distorted. Used to it and its not really that annoying but its there.

Any rules of thumb we should go by when creating the files to prevent this behavior if it can't be fixed?
Do certain resolutions cause this?

Yada..yada..yada [;)]

Thanks

Can't say I noticed much difference... in that 3.7 would change the aspect ratio (too tall or too wide) of a tactical window at the drop of a hat.

When I load up a scenario or save, I always start a new tactical window. That way I know that a view isn't distorted.

I could be wrong, but I usually find that I need a new tactical window every couple hours play or so anyway - so I usually start a fresh one before hitting the Start/Resume option.

Oh, and if a game gets unresponsive (no buttons will click) then I minimise the window and redisplay it - usually the buttons all become active again.

Mike, as a rule of thumb go in multiples of 160 pixels wide and 120 pixels tall, has helped for a few people I've suggested it to.  Totally anecdotal approach :)
