currently, my game breaks when there are sightings or when i force it to. is the behavior the same in an MP game? the advantage of the break to me in single player is that i get to organize what i am doing. is that same advantage available in MP?

the Hamachi approach seems to be less than 100%. is it better than the posts i read last night? does Hamachi require me to make changes to my wireless router?

You can configure the game as to when you want "breaks" to occur. Personally I prefer less breaks rather than more. Also both players can control the speed of the game. At any time you can slow down to 0 (effectively pausing the game) even if you opponent keeps at speed 6 or whatehver.

Hamachi is OK at least as chat applet and to meet people interested in MP and challenge them to a game. After that Hamachi might work or it might not but even if it does not work it does nothing to prevent connecting the old way (using IP address etc.) So at best it's useful, at worst it's harmless chat client.

It is my understanding you have to open two ports 2300 UDP and 2301 UDP regardless of the way you use to connect (IP, Hamachi, whatever)

Come on people you owe to yourself to try MP [:D]
