I do love playing SP but I have one complante, gripe, when I turn the air off (0) and I play against the Americans they get air, and not air in the day time but air at night. Just this last game they got P-51's, P-38's and B-25's, and it was a night battle. The only good part was I watched them blow away two Shermans that were causing my infantry to shake in their boots.


Is this normal???

Turning Air off doesn't prevent the AI from using it, especially in generated campaign games. The AI buys its force from a list of formations, and if an Air Support formation is part of that list, the AI gets them, provided the Visbility is greater than about 15 hexes (not sure what range the exact cutoff is).

That Preference setting only applies to a human playing that side, not the AI.

Although I do wonder about the fact that I have only seen the Americans get Air and only at night in campain games. The American Air must be very high up on the list of units chosen.
