The HyperWar Foundation has just posted Vol V of the USMC Official History, so now it's available online in its entirety.

They also added the seminal 1921 report by Major Earl H. Ellis, "Advanced Base Operations in Micronesia", which provided the basis for the development of amphibious doctrine during the 1930s. It is indeed a remarkable document.

In the past, I have read a lot of what they have there. Glad to hear they updated the site.
