You've probably done this but lets say it anyway;
Make sure you've taken into account things such as uppercase, lowercase, the letter O & number 0

Having said that you could still try emailing support@matrixgames.com and politely request advice or assistance.
They may have a more direct means of communication with Chaos Concepts.

Other than that try emailing the Chaos Concepts directly admin@ufo-extraterrestrials.com

Here's the link to the Publisher Tri-Synergy contact page http://trisynergy.com/about/contactus.shtml

If you email the Developer and / or Publisher directly you may also want to inquire as to which patch is for the Retail version you purchased and direct you too where you might download it.

When you finally get the game installed, links to other info can be found here:

Hi
I just purchased the game for my Win Vista system. When I put the DVD in, it just spins, but won't read.  It works fine in my laptop, which runs Win XP.
Here are the specs for my Vista rig: Alienware Auroura`7500, 4200+ cpu, 2g RAM, 1GIG Video, etc... I can't think of any reason the game won't run on my Vista rig.
I'd play it on my laptop, but it does not support the typem of shaders and vertexes used in the game.
Since the software is open, I can't return it for a refund. I did return for a replacement of the same game, but got the same results.

Please give me any advise you may have.
Thanks[:(]

I binned Vista as fast as possible so cant tell you exactly how to do it but, Try running the install in Xp sp2 compatability mode, might need that for the game to run as well. fixed lots of things when i tested vista

Hi,

Thanks!

Could you tell me how to run the Xp Sp2 comp. mode?

Nevermind, I found out how to do it.

Compatability mode didn't help. I still have the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have the exact same problem too! I couldn't wait to get home and boot up the darn program and my DVD just spin and spin until I became afraid that it would damage the drive! It's not the CD because the program ran without a glitch on my other XP Pro based computers!

I have Vista on my brand new XPS laptop so it's not hardware failure since I could run everything else before or after my attempted installation of UFO. All hardware drivers are the latest and I disabled my virus protection and turned off everything else too. Still no luck.

So, I am SOL if I wanted to play UFO on my latest and bestest computer (I am sure being an Alienware owner, Al would disagree).

Does anyone else have the same problem and managed to find a solution? I understand there is a patch out already but in order for me to install and run the patch, I gotta be able to read from the darn CD first and then install the program, right!?

Please help
