Palembang oil not producing?

CHS Scenario 157. 1.806. I'm leading the liberators of the Southeast Asia. (Japan)

I took Palembang about a week ago game time. Since that time it hasn't been producing any oil, though it is producing fuel and resources.

Anyone seen anything like this? Of possible relevance: there was about 650,000 tons of oil at the base when I captured it. 640 of the 1200 oil points were still operational (bugger). It makes me suspect that there might be a relationship between max oil at a base and whether it will produce or not. Particularly since fuel points are being generated.

Or maybe I'm just screwed... [:D]

This is a new one on me... i haven't heard of it before...

Best save some prefinalized turns... if someone chimes in and explains it away, then no harm done... if no one can explain it, you can forward them to me...

Yea, new one to me too. Well, at the worst it gives me an excuse if I do something horribly stupid with my economy. [:'(]

I'll give it 24 or 48 hours and then send them your way. How many saves would you want? I routinely keep pre-finalized saves of the last game week though 7 may be more than you need.

There appears to be a maximum amount of Oil that can be stockpiled at a base that produces it.  I've seen the same "maxed stockpile" at some other big Oil producers in the DEI that have no Industry to use it up.

Thanks! It's good to hear someone else has seen it. I think I'll wait until I get a few more tankers over there before I overwhelm Robert with my saves.

Uh - let me check with the programmer types before you start bombarding me... [X(] [:D]

Checked with a programmer - he says that there are limits to oil at at least some bases (but he wasn't sure about Palembang, but thought it was probable).

He suggested that you draw oil down below 100,000 - if Palembang doesn't start producing, there is a problem.

So, save a good example of the problem... and if production doesn't resume, we'll look at the save.

I took Palembang (stock game) and there was over 200k oil there and it was still accumulating.  I often have over 100k there before I load up a TF to move it.

it could be a difference in the mods being played (actually was suggested by the programmer... i didn't invent this! [:D])

That's ok, Bob.  We'll just blame you anyway. [:'(]

Seems logical that at some stage your storage capacity is reached.... With such a stock I bet that all buckets and bath tubs of Palembang have been requisitionned.

I never had Palembang run out of oil; resources yes, but never oil. But I have yet to go to 1.806

Not run out... just not increase beyond a certain point.
