@SSG - Victory condition sequencing problem

I am going to present this with CCAW, but as far as I can tell the same issue should arise with CAW.

I am playing the USA Wake-Historical.

Both the Japanese and the USA get CP at Wake. The former for invading and the latter for resupplying. Now, conceptually, it should be possible to score resupplying and then score that followed by an invasion. However, conceptually, it doesn't really seem to make sense to score an invasion and then score that followed by resupply.

However, that was the sequence of scoring in my game. As far as I can tell, there are no provisions in CAW or CCAW to expire scoring conditions. That can effectively lead to some odd situations.

Mark, if you check the Victory Screen for Wake in CaW 2007 you'll find:

1. The US only score VP's for resupplying Wake, they do not win the game for doing so.

2. The Japs MUST invade Wake or they manditorily lose by a US Decisive Victory.

Ergo, the US resupply only becomes relevant if the Japs DO invade, then it becomes a battle for which side gains the most victory points to determine the winner.

CaW being the newer game seems to address your concerns.
