I'm liking the way this is looking. Being anti-social, I'm interested in what the AI will be like? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is a reasonably good AI but i need to give it bonusses (AI+, AI++ mode) to have a challenge.
Furthermore it is a generic AI which will handle all kinds of scenarios.
Just hold on untill some first players get playing around with it to get some objective opinions.

Is it possible to edit the AI also? [X(]
That would be fantastic. [Not that I could make any AI programming..[:D] ]

Best description of my own concerns about AT I ever heard. [:)]

Being somewhere between mediocre and dumb when playing PT this won't be necessary. So I hope there's a standard AI mode without bonuses. Is there a way I can have bonuses? Hey, what is wrong with having light tanks attack a fortified anti tank gun unit inside a deep forest behind a swamp on the top of a steep rocky hill? [&:]

I totally agree: if the number on my unit icon is bigger than the number on the enemy unit icon, surely I'm going to win...

Lol, that´s very dangerous to judge this way.
For example:
I have a fighter unit with strength 300 and you have a divebomber unit with strength 500.
Which of our units will win the fight ? Just an extreme example.

But that works for infantry types, too. You have to know their strength and weak points.
You have to analyze the enemy units as good as you can and use all available informations
before setting any attacks.
If you run blind in any attacks even the AI will be hard for you to master [;)]

Well first you should ask yourself why are you antisocial? ;) Then go out amongst a crowd, the mall is a good place and just walk around saying hello to random people. Do this for about an hour and you sould be over your antisocial personality. ;) Then after that for the next hour just walk up to random women you find attractive and ask them for their phone number and/or a date. This will greatly improve your socialism and might even get you a few female comrades for nocturnal use. lol

I saw somewhere that the European and Pacific scenarios don't have an AI, is this true?
If so Why?

hi pad152,

Check the product info:
http://www.matrixgames.com/games/story.asp?gid=345

Actually those scenarios are not mentioned as included in release.

I expect quite a lot of players to make their own scenarios after release.
Those will be gathered here:
http://www.advancedtactics.org/scenariobank.php
(that site will open for registration after release)

Since the editor is very flexible it is possible for players to create scenarios (for example scenarios with action cards) that cannot be played by the AI and are PBEM/hotseat only. For example a mentioned europe 1939 scenario or a pacific war scenario made by scenariodesigner and betatester Tom Weber.

Kind regards,
Vic

If someone were to open a scenario in the editor and take out the action cards, would the AI then be able to play that scenario?

I didn't see the editor in the product info, is that part of the inital release?

I take it is possible to create user made scenarios that are single player with a AI?

thanks

Well first you should ask yourself why are you antisocial?

Trolls might be partially responsible. [;)]
