I've run into a few glitches playing the game (which is a great game when it runs) but I've run into one that won't let me advance any farther in the game. For some reason once I get to a certain point in a campaign and I select a mission, the mission will load, allow me to select my ship, but then when the mission should begin all I see is a starfield and that's it. At that point the screen remain stuck and the mission won't progress. The background music is playing but I can't even see the mouse pointer on the screen.

The only way to get out of this is to close the application using the Task Manager to close out the game. This bug is fairly serious since I cannot progress any further in the game. I've tried uninstalling the game (I had installed the 5.02a patch) and then reinstalled the game only using the 5.01 patch but I still have the same issue.

I'm running the game on a high end Dell Laptop.

OS = Windows XP Pro
Processor = Intel Core 2 Duo T2300 1.83GHz
RAM = 1GB DDR2
Video = ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

I tried adjusting the settings for video and audio with no luck. I'm including a screen shot of the mission screen the is viewable when the mission loads and remains stuck.

Any help would be appreciated.

If someone from admin could respond to my post it would be appreciated.

It seems that when I select a certain mission that has the f-36C fighter associated with it I get the stuck mission issue. I can select a mission with a F-32 as the fighter and that seems to work. If I select an assault mission though the game just crashes.

It sure would be nice to actually get some support on the support forum with this issue.

Captain, I wish I knew the answer to your problem. I'd recommend sending an email to Matrix support directly, I had an issue with a controller and wasn't getting a response here, until I used the support email and PM'ed a Matrix mod.
