Cannot seem to get this done. How do you place infantry on a transport and then unload for an assult? The instruction book is not real clear. I get the transport there and there are no troops on it or they wont unload.

LOL.. you are rather going the extra mile in avoiding being helped, aren't you? I've checked your other posts and the only references to your game are "my new game" and "it"![:D]

Try posting the same query in the dedicated forum for the game you bought and you should get a quick answer. I'm guessing, in view of the release timing and the date of your first post you are referring to John Tiller's Campaign series? In which case to load transports you need both troops and transports in the same hex, select both of them and it's the third button bottom left (between artillery and digging-in; a tooltip comes up to identify it). To unload, again select all and click that button. You must have sufficient movement points available, so if you have just moved the transports (or men to them) you may have to wait until the next turn.

I am also having trouble loading tanks onto barges, LST. LCVP, etc. in Steel Panthers World at War. Half my tanks [&:]were immobilized crossing a ford on the Elbe River [US VS. USSR]. Please advise.[&:][&:][&:]

IATRO10: First go one hex at a time when crossing a ford, better chance of not swamping engine.
 
To load on a barge bring tank in a hex next to barge (or vice versa) if not on a cliff, load (only one unit can load), shuttle back and forth. If you can find a brige or pier you can load more than one unit and I believe you can also get into the same hex just like a land load. HTH   GOOD HUNTING[8D]
