hello,

i seen that expression in an article on wiki about AAW:
http://mediawiki.advancedgaming.biz/ind ... ir_Warfare

could someone explain me what is exactly an "engagement cycle" and where figures about the "maximum number of intercepts per engagement cycle" and the "number of engagement cycles based on maximum range" could be be found?

is suspect that it is related to the number of weapon that a platform can manage simultaneously but it sounds more technical than that.

cheers,

Jan

thanks Dale,

so the "maximum number of intercepts per engagement cycle" is basically (without talking about specific missile like SM-2) the number FCR able to control the SAM, right?

cheers,

Jan

I could be wrong here - I always thought it was the maximum number of tracks (individual targets) that a FCR could paint or illuminate at once.
