How do I get a units weapon type to show?

ie. How do I get a Sherman unit to say"Sherman" or a M-13/40 to say such. On my screen in only says the units name (like 3rd coy Med Tank...etc.) I know most of the units by their background shape (like a Sherman or Tiger) but it would be nice to have it read the weapon type.

Right-click the unit in question on the tactical map to bring up the pop-up window. On the left side, highlight the unit you want information for. The equipment type will be displayed under the unit info description, as highlighted within the attached screenshot.
