Does H3ANW support multiple monitors? Ie: Can you drag windows onto a second monitor? If this isnt supported, are there any plans to introduce this support in the future?

In order to stretch the window across multiple screens you will have to manually edit the harpoon3.ini file located in your Harpoon3 ANW folder (make sure to make a backup copy of that file first)

You will have to change the following value:

VideoWidth 1024

Increase it gradually. In case you put the value too high the game will default back to 800x600 resolution.

Cheers,
JP

Hi,
I am runing XP and I assume this answer addresses the small screens I see on my monitor. I tried looking for the harpoon3.ini file and could not find it....where would I look? Thanks for any help!

Look in your main ANW folder (C:\Matrix Games\Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare by default), you should find harpoon3.ini there.

Hi,
I found the file and changed the settings but it just goes back to the default. It says it would do that if set to anything but the default. How can I keep it there without it going back to the default??

Regards,
Chuck

To use Harpoon on a multi-monitor display - you first have to have Windows running a huge desktop over 2 (or more) monitors. As this thread describes;-

tm.asp?m=1352909

I think maybe you are getting this style mixed up with changing the screen size. You don't do that from within Harpoon, but you can do it from the launcher/configuration option.

This just changes the .ini file, but you have to restart Harpoon to see any change made.

I tried that also from within H3...does not do anything in terms of making the screen larger.   I have a 17" monitor but the screens for H3 are about 4 or 5 inches.  I can't take my mouse and enlarge the screen as in Windows applications.  I figured since Windows was one of the OS it would work with, that there would be no problem like this.  I played Harpoon years ago when it first came out..Win 3.1....very nice game.  I was hoping this would work the same as it did then...actually better.  I have looked in 2 different places to chabge screen size and nothing works...even after rebooting.

Well, the place were it is the Harpoon launcher screen - from there select the configuration screen. On the Video and sound tabs, you should see options for 640X400, 800 X 600, 1024 X 768 and 1280 X 1024. The selection for your current Windows Desktop setting won't be selectable.

On V3.8, there will be an additional area controls. You can click and slide these up to the maximum. That gives you near-maximum screen size, although it won't cover the start bar at the bottom of the screen.
