Here's a concept for everyone---if you advertise that you want a PBEM opponent, and someone contacts you, it might be nice to respond to that person, even if you don't need them as an opponent any longer.

I have contacted two different parties who apparently seek opponents, and have had no replies. Incidentally, I am now no longer available as a PBEM opponent due to vacation.[:-]
