@SSG - questions about the weather?

I was looking at the scenario editor in CAW and CCAW. In particular I was trying to understand the behavior of the weather system. {I was looking for clues to understanding how weather behaves while playing a scenario, since utilizing weather fronts is such a critical aspect of success or failure in the game.}
The map is divided into 12 weather sectors which operate as separate cells where weather may build, move, and/or be destroyed.
(1) However, there is also a scenario details option which sets the weather behavior. How does this relate to what happens with the 12 different sectors?
(2) There is also a scenario setup warcard which alters the weather behavior. How does this relate to what happens with the 12 different sectors?
(3) CCAW has an editor for painting the initial weather conditions: high clouds, low clouds, clear, and stormy. Where is this function in CAW?
(4) The CCAW editor has a WEATHER MOVE command which seems to simulate a one hour tick of weather updates. Does the CAW editor also have this ability to simulate weather patterns and prototype how a particular weather configuration will perform?
(5) As I have seen in the game (CCAW) and appears in the CCAW editor, there are no adjustments for the speed which weather fronts move. So, am I right in my conjecture that weather always moves across the map in CAW at a fixed speed? This looks to me to be approximately 10kts or so?
(6) Despite any weather setup values which are used in a sceanrio, weather seems to build around land masses. Is this true?
Thank you for taking the time to entertain my questions!
