To Frank,

I do not want to appear ungrateful, I know you just relesed the game; I just had a question on updates. I thought I read that you may be working on fixing screen resolution. Is there any other update for the game that maybe in the works(example, moving screen with the mouse)? Thank you for any info and if it's too early to ask such question, my apologies.

Hi randell, yes I'm working on adding 1280 x 1024 screen resolution quickly.  I'm also checking the Kiel Canal special rule to see why it isn't always being used and will make a small change to the 1914 CP AI.

Oh, and there's als othe victory screen audio playback that presents a problem for some.  I'm trying to find and fix that too.

Frank, are you considering making British Transfers of War Material to Russia through the Dardanelles prohibited unless the TE controls Gallipoli and Constantinople? What about prohibiting British Transfers of War Material to Russia through the Baltic? Those are the only other two quibbles I have with this excellent game.

The Constantinople thing was missed.  It'll be fixed.  The Baltic Sea thing I'll leave in because it creates another reason for Germany to contest the North and Baltic seas.

I can understand not wanting to prohibit transfers in the Baltic. When the Kiel Canal problem is solved, British Transfers of War Material to Russia through the Baltic may not really be a problem anyway.

Nice updates in the works.  How about giving the Germans one free air reconnaisance (without actually having to designate an air point) on the Eastern Front to simulate wireless intercepts?

Anyway, great game.

I assume that's the bug we have to turn the sound off for right?

Yes.  But I haven't yet found why this affects some people and not others (including me).

another idea for the patch - have "land support" as a naval mission - ie bombardment in support of land forces that are adjacent to the seazone such as the fairly sizeable fleet at Galipoli.

If there is more than 1 such hex then perhaps hexes supported by amphibious supply get priority, and if more than 1 hex gets priority 9eg there are 2 amphibs in play, or 2 hexes that are not amphib) then it is evenly divided.

Also potential is there for a "monitor" ship type that has crappy ship-ship combat capability, but quite reasonable land support power.

Ships on this mission would provide a combat bonus to friendly troops.  I think giving them artillery attacks might be a bit too powerful.
