A Design Concept for the Future

I've known for ages that there have been various Vassal modules for this game sold by DVG in an effort to port its solitaire boardgame to the digital realm.

However, I've always wanted to get hold of the actual cardboard version!

I'll definitely look into buying this one when available and to me it reflects a growing trend in PC game design back to the days of the text based role play but with a graphical presence.

Most recently, I've seen this with Impact Games' "Peace Maker" and IIRC there's a game called "Democracy" with the same approach.

Yes, if true solitaire board games have been developed years gone by, why not create true solitaire PC games that do away with the complexities of "AI"?

Solitaire board games have "opposition systems" rather than so called "intelligent opponents" or "AI's" - I fully support PC game designers taking this route too. The past decade has been swamped with so many games that should have left their AI's back on the drawing board leaving us with nothing better than a solo hot seat style of play! We all know that's true.

Good luck with this development.

Adam.

I own the cardboard version, but haven't played it for years. I remember enjoying it a lot and look forward to the PC version.
