Patrol and Raider

I am not sure I see the difference between the two - any help?
Also I asked this earlier, and I know it is very trivial, but is the music built into the game limited to one opening song? My game plays one song (which I kinda like!) and that's it.
Thanks
Jack

I believe Raider is for Destroyers to attack Transports and Patrol is for major surface action between Fleets. I would like some National Anthem music placed somewhere in the game, especially Deutchland Uber Alles.

Patrol is for sending your warships to patrol a sea zone and engage enemy warships and transport shipping. Raiding focuses your warships primarily against enemy shipping.

Hi jcrohio,
Patrol: For surface engagements. Based on my observation of the game so far, opposing fleets on patrol will have a good chance of encountering one another. This is best if you wish to contest control of a sea zone (to prevent enemy TR's from carrying troops to places like France or the Balkans), or take it yourself (for resource collection).
Best to put capital ships (DN/PD/BC) on this mission, with appropriate DD escort.
Raider: For anti-mercantile shipping (TR) strikes. It appears raiding missions have a decreased chance of initiating a surface engagement, but they can be (frequently) engaged by opposing TF's on Patrol, especially if those TF's outnumber you.
Best to use fast ships (BC/CA/DD) on this mission, once again with appropriate DD escort.
Submarines are good in both roles.
