This is CHS 2.08, scen 155 with Andrew's extended map.

I have a transport TF with about 6 tankers. Target and DH are Port Moresby and it's set to unload cargo. It has about 55000 fuel but even after 3 turns, nothing has unloaded. The port is NOT damaged at all (0%) and I even tried splitting the TF into three smaller TFs.

There is minimal other TF activity (loading/unloading) at Moresby. Port size there is currently 1.

Weird?

Do you have the tankers set to "unload" ?
 

Yes the TF is set to unload. Definitely

With a port size of 1, I have observed very slow unloads. Actually that is historically correct.
Why would you want to unload the fuel at such a small port? You lose fuel from attrition (wastage) at any port < 3 so, unless enemy air is really threatening, I would just keep it in the TK and refuel from it. You might have to turn the TF into a replenishment TF though.

Well, one of my important TFs is low on fuel, and I don't have a replenishment TF at hand ... so I don't have a choice. It's the tankers unloading there or nothing &nbsp;

You can refuel your TF from tankers at sea....

You can refuel TFs from AOs in a replenishment TF, but not TKs.&nbsp; You can not put TKs in a replenishment TF. There is a replenishment TF with 7 TKs in it at the beginning of the game that you can use (assuming you&nbsp;didn't disband it).

You can refuel from tankers in a non-replenishment TF.....@ a Transport TF that has Tankers loaded with fuel....[:)]

If you're talking about refueling ships within a TF that has TKs loaded with fuel, yes, you're right Minesweeper.&nbsp; I was talking about a non-replenishment TF with TKs loaded with fuel trying to refuel another TF.

Yes I was referring to the second instance, Mike. I have TF 1 with capital ships low on fuel and TF 2 is a non-replenishment TF with tankers loaded up with fuel. So I still have to get TF 2 to unload fuel at a port so TF 1 can head to said port and refuel right?

Yes, you're right. Sorry but I have no idea why your TF won't unload the fuel though.

Yeah it's weird. I know size 1 ports are pretty slow at unloading, but after 2-3 turns and still ZERO fuel has been unloaded ... really weird.

Rybeck you do not need to wait to unload the fuel into the port.....Just have TF 1 refuel at sea if it is in the same hex as task force 2 (might not fill 100%).....depending on how many ships are in each TF as regarding to op points.....

Yeah I tried that and it helped some but I'm still puzzled why TF 2 doesn't seem to want to unload any fuel into an undamaged size 1 port. Ah well...

That's what I am talking about....you can refuel task force A (SC TF - BBs, CAs and etc) from task force B (Transport TF - Tankers(with fuel), APs and ect....) at sea or in port.....

1. Transport TF w/ Tankers (with fuel)
2. SC TF low on fuel
3. Refueled SC TF from Transport TF
4. 2 Tankers are lower in fuel after fueling the SC TF.

Now that I think about it, I believe you're transferring fuel from the transport TFs ship fuel supply, not the TK storage.&nbsp; I often see this happen in my cargo TFs refueling the small escorts.&nbsp; The only time I recall seeing a TK (not in a replenishment TF) refuel ships from the TK storage is internal to that TF (again, usually refueling the short range ships in the TF).

Maybe all of your TFs are sucking up the fuel unloaded each turn. If you have them set for auto refuel, they will suck the port dry.
