Avoiding Carrier Air Group Re-Sizing in RHS

WITP has built-in a mechanism to re-size carrier sir groups in accordance with a certain schedule and certain formulas. Apparently there is even a provision for emergencies when a carrier is more than 115% full. There are some additional tricks you can play, like moving a complete set of squadrons from one carrier to another, but I boiled down all the stuff I found to what should work and is needed in RHS.

Here are the "rules" to follow for RHS - all have been verified by various sources as being important to work with the code to achieve the desired results:
1) Always leave all squadrons on board their carrier.
2) Set carrier squadrons to 'No Replacements'. This will prevent a re-size from taking place.
3) If a carrier gets to more than 115%, then move some planes off before it gets into port. Otherwise an emergency re-size might take place (regardless of squadrons being set to 'no replacements').
4) Those 'Carrier Trained' squadrons that are on land - set them to 'No Replacements' or else they might re-size so big they never fit on a carrier. This is because in the database they are really assigned to a carrier that does not appear before the scenario is over.

REPLY: I like this - but it should not be required. If it were required - you could not transfer the special land based carrier squadrons to a CV to fix a resize issue - or perform a special op - as was done IRL.
2) Set carrier squadrons to 'No Replacements'. This will prevent a re-size from taking place.
REPLY: This is an important discovery - and I like it a lot. It is much better than "stay out of port with the HQ."
3) If a carrier gets to more than 115%, then move some planes off before it gets into port. Otherwise an emergency re-size might take place (regardless of squadrons being set to 'no replacements').
REPLY: This is an amazing and unfortunate thing. It prevents carriers cum transports unless you strip out the original air group while they do that.
4) Those 'Carrier Trained' squadrons that are on land - set them to 'No Replacements' or else they might re-size so big they never fit on a carrier. This is because in the database they are really assigned to a carrier that does not appear before the scenario is over.
REPLY: They will act as if they were on the training carrier. The training carriers exist - players never see them but they exist - even have names - and all the details of a carrier. There are only 4, 5 or 6 squadrons on each one - so they won't have too many planes.

WITPQS reports that the 1943 resize will overload a ship. Only the 1942 resize was fixed by the code revision. This is horribly unfortunate - but probably true. It is likely different code.

witpqs - Point number three: if "No Repalacements" is set will my aircraaft/pilot losses still be made good?

Just pull replacement ac and pilots one at a time. [;)]
This way you can get the exact number you need without overfilling.

Sir, I am in your debt.

Always set, at least your CV airgroups, to do not accept replacements.
This way you can fine tune each CV's airwings.
Only set them to accept replacements when you want the airgroups to upgrade in size. [;)]
This happens during some of the CV's normal refits.

Note that most CVEs are "immune" to resizing. That is, they will "resize" to their original size - a trick done in RHS for player convenience. Also note that many land based carrier air units are "carrier qualified" - and they are assigned to invisible "training carriers" which will never resize either. A different trick makes the units appear on land. Anyway - you can "build" a carrier air group from land based or CVE based squadrons. Or do a special op - just as was done IRL.
