Hi all.

I get this box appear at the end of jan/feb 1915 with regularity followed by "Device (guns of august) already loaded". then the screen allows me to scroll/click on the icons at top that allow the general stuff troops/resources etc. but nothing else no continue no name in the 'phase' box [&:].

OK I am running under Windows Vista (unfortunately not my choice) but i have set it as compatible for winxpSP2 and with admin privelages (as suggested). any ideas why i get this replicatable error . i can provide a savegame if needed.

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment that might come my way as now i'm over the windowed look and somewhat clunky interface its a GEM !

There is a bug that says "Device already open" and it is a bug related to the sound. Disable sound and try it. There is a thread devoted to this issue. [:)]

However if it says "Device already loaded", it may not be the same.
