You could make a backup of the default platoon and weapon files and then replace them with the ones from Balck for the time playing his 18th tank division campaign. But then there is a problem of missing bmp files: UP01259.bmp, UP01258.bmp, UP01426.bmp, UP01416.bmp and UP01421.bmp.
WF Matrix version has UP01259.bmp, UP01258.bmp and their platoons in the platoon01.oob they are K 408(i) 150mm Guns and K 417(f) 155mm Guns

The Cannone da 149/40 149mm howitzer was developed in 1935 to replace the older large-caliber army-level guns, but production was unable to meet demands. By 1942 only 51 were in service. The 155mm GPF Gun first saw action in 1917. With some modernization, it was still in service with the French Army in May 1940. The GPF was one of best pieces in the French inventory. After France's defeat, these guns were used by the German army as coastal artillery guns or in corps level artillery battalions. Some of them even served in North Africa with the DAK.

What are these platoons supposed to be? Are they units added in this LCG to the plaoon01.oob and weapon files? I would guess they were custom units made to supplement the oob of the old WF game.

This would have to be corrected to get the LCG to work with the Matrix EF game.
There may be more custom units in there too or in the Russians platoon00.oob. I didnt look any further.
Odd thing is these custom units Bmp and bit files are not included in the download file. If they were was one could use the LCG if one replaced the platoon00-01 and weapon files. Alternatively the platoon files could be edited to refer to the existing bmps of the vehilces which are in the game, like this:
