First of all, I desire to espress my gratitude and estimation to Frank Hunter...GoA is a very interesting and absorbing game, reproducing accurately the opportunities and the problems of the first WW.

My problem: when I load the AutoSaveOrders.SGW to continue to play(sound abled or disabled makes no difference, I've tried)the game freezes and I dont't know how to continue.

Here is the situation: the game loads as "Sep-Oct 1916 Impulse 3 CP Playback", is "busy" for a while, then a message appears: "Access Violation at address 0042215A in Module Trench.exe. Read of address 01D5F610".

If it seems opportune i can send the file and some technical specs of my Pc to Frank Hunter.

Thanks

Please do post a DxDiag file for us and also try turning your Sound Off in the game to see if that makes any difference.

First of all: thanks for your speedlight reply.

Well, here I am...

1) I tried to load the AutosaveOrders.SGW with "Sound Disabled": the result is the same.

2) When the game freezes I noticed this: at the bottom of the screen, where are the data fields, these are the values:

Battle at 37,25 / 16,1 Terrain: Sea / - / Ntrl / Stack 0/0 / Trench level 0 / Supply 0% /

Terrain: Sea (???) it'strange but I read just this!

The Hex yellow-bordered contains an Austro Hungarian Cavalry, exactly half-way between Vinnitsa and Cherkassy.

3)Here is alleged the result of my Dxdiag.

I hope this may be useful, let me know if you need some other info.

Yours truly, Paolo

If you still have that "AutosaveOrders.SGW" file could you send it to me?  If it repeats for you then it might for me.
