How do you increase production

Post by diesel7013 »

Well - how do you increase production - its 1915 and I have from Cherbourg to north of Paris to all the major hexes west of the French / German border - BUT, I'm only getting 10-11 production points each turn, which is not enough to reinforce my HQ's and keep my navy up and keep my corps at combat readiness...

1. I have 2 tr's in the Baltic and 1-2 in the N. Atlantic
2. I have not lost any hexes in the East - I have a strong defense all through Germany and Austria

Well - what do I do??

Get Bulgaria onside, with them smash Serbia and open up the rail route to the Ottoman Empire.  Then transfer all those Turk resources into Germany and you'll be much better off.

Otherwise you are screwed [;)]

One note though. When i am low on German production to buy vital stuff i don´t shy on cannibalize the production of AH and send their industrial points to Germany. This will not boost your total production but improve your options how to produce. This incurs a one turn delay.

And you do remember to transfer saved AH raw materials to Germany right from the beginning ? I think AH never gets above 100 % in production capacity.

There's no delay if you transfer finished materials - they become available at the target nation immediately.

To maximise German production yuo should transfer any spare raw materials from AH every strategic turn so they becoem production in hte following strategic turn, plus transfer the finished goods.

Also transfer any spare food to increase the efficiency of your industries, and make sure you're optimising captured food resources - they operate in 3's - you get 1 extra food for each 3 resources held by 1 country, no fractions - so Germany holding 2 and AH holding 1 is useless - get a German gorps onto the Austrian 1 so it transfers to german ownership next strategic turn and get that extra point.
