line-up question

Hello Again,
During a recent game, I decided make whole-sale line-up changes to my offensive sets. However, I had to wait till the 3 minute warning before I could make the changes without incurring a time count penalty (on a 20 second CFL clock, I could swap out only one player before the ref would blow time and the process began again). Is there an easier way during play (there must be and I am most likely missing something fairly basic)? If not, then perhaps this can go on the "wish list". An option on the menu-screen that pops up when you hit "Esc" may be a way to do it without having the game trying to penalize the player every 20-45 secs.
Thanks,
Long Time Fan

The next version of the game gives an automatic additional 30 seconds as soon as you start adjusting your line up. Once that 30 seconds expires, you're back to your regular playclock (picking up from where it left off before you started substitutions). This will mostly help those playing Canadian rules. So, you get just about a full minute to make your changes, pick your play, and snap the ball.

Long Time Fan,

Thank you for bringing this up.  This is an item the beta team brought up when working with the updated depth charts.  As David stated above, the upcoming release has substitutions time available for changing out players.

It would be nice to be able to have substitutions packages, but they create their own problems if the formation changes.
