When playing as the CP, on the Naval Orders screen, these comments are illustrated...
"The North Atlantic should have 6 transports"
"The Baltic should have two transports"
What does this mean?

Certain countries get trade benefits from certain sea zones ...
I believe this text tells you what the number of transports you need is to get the maximum benefit in those zones ?

Yep.....Germany maintained a fairly extensive Atlantic trade - the point of the British "Blockade" was to cut it off. If Germany can maintain 6 transports in the Atlantic (good luck!!) they'll get a heap of resources!

I've never tried to get German transports into the Atlantic. If they made it there I imagine they would stay for a while. I can't see the Brits putting to many ships on Raider in the Atlantic and they ony have one sub.

I have a related question: what would the game difference be between 'restricted" and "unrestricited" submarine warfare for the Germans? I would imagine that keeping the restrictions on would make the interdiction of Britain's supply routes less effective but give America less incentive to abandon neutrality and join the war against you (which is somnething that, as the German player, you DO NOT WANT to see happen). Would this be correct?

Ships on patrol will also attack transports AFAIK....but they are also more likely to attack warships - raiders actively seek out transports and try to avoid warships whereas ships on patrol will attack anything.
MPH - yes that about sums it up

That makes me want the game a bit more. Now if only that elusive "money" stuff could find its way in my direction....

Well you really should try and find it - this is an excellent design - a model for presenting a theatre wide conflict in a simple yet not simplistic way ... I hope he does the same for WWII

Aha....another WW2 fan disatisfied with the light and shallow efforts of CEAW and SC2 perhaps??!!
I suggested as much a while back too....but Frank is working on other eras next...Napoleonic I think it was. He did say he'd tried a few things for WW2 & Spanish & Russian civil wars tho, so perhaps some day.....
