Screen resolutions?

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

Screen resolutions?

Post by kk68 »

I just bought the game and there is one thing that really disturbs: Screen resolution is locked to 1024 x 768, which is not used by most computers today. Think about the future when hardly any of you have flat screen with such a low native resolution as 1024x768, then everyone of us wish that game resolution could be changed.

This should not even be a big thing to implement. I don't personally want any changes to bitmaps, so no re-drawing is needed what so ever. All I want is that the war map (the main part of the screen) could show more hexes. I think that would be enough for everybody. If I'm requesting too much, could some developer explain what's the problem here.

personally, I wouldn't actually need an option for resolution, if the screen was automatically adjusted to the current Windows resolution. Full screen /Windowed option would still be nice.

I second that, make it as in AGEOD's ACW (support anything from 1024*768 to 1600*1200, 4/3 or 16/9 widescreen also), with art of fixed size of course.
