Turn 3
The allied AI continued causing high losses, but again at high cost to its self again. The AI in this scenario is not a master of subtleness it seems.

But after looking through the after action battle reports I must say the AI did use its air superiority and artillery advantage pretty well. He softened up a lot of my positions before going on the attack.
The enemy crossed the river in the west near Pisa, took Firenze in the center and established a bridgehead across the well defended river in the east.

Time for counteractions in the West.
I think the AI is way to cocky and here in the west I counterattacked:

With good results.

Furthermore I evacuated Pisa in fear of getting surrounded and send some more reinforcements to the 14th Pz corps holding the west.
Around Firenze I found out the AI really encircled my paratroopers very solidly. I fear I will not be able to get them out!! Armoured troops approaching from the east did a succesfull counter attack though and where used to reinforce the line.

Around Rimini in the east I decided not to retreat but reinforce the line and send most of the remaining regiments I had in reserve to this front.

Turn 4
Oh oh!! The first turn where the AI got less losses then me. Not good.

But the rain has started so I don’t have to expect any serious counter attacks (frontal) except some weaker air and some artillery strikes in the next AIs turn.

Western Sector
The allied AI advance threw me back over another river and towards the defence of Lucca.
I used my small airforce I kept in reserve to do an aerial recon mission on the gap between the Lucca Front and the Firenze Front and was pleased to find out there where little allied troops there meaning I don’t have to worry about the gap that much. So I retreated all my forces towards Lucca and the river there.
Firenze Sector
The allied AI wiped out all my surrounded paratroopers. I decided to retreat to the mountain passes and absorb some more reinforcements that where on the way.

Mountain Sector
This is a sector where I actually have about the same amount of troops as the allies. I think. I am planning not to give any more terrain here in order to counter attack the enemy advance in the flank later. The AI should not be able to cope with that I hope.
Rimini Sector
I pulled back the troops to the next river. I was afraid I otherwise might lose some troops due to encirclement. I could not get the encircled troops out of Pesaro…

so what's the casualties standings now?
I suspect you're in a slight lead...for now
