I am new to War in the Pacific (having played the older, matrix version often)and new to this forum. While I am still trying to grasp the enormous detail of this game I can not find any of my saved games. [&:]I click on the save game icon. provide a brief description of the game (ie 1stgme) and save. When I return and load a saved game, no games there but the one that came with the game.[&:]

First of all, welcome! Secondly, did you click the "save button" in the bottom left corner of the screen? Thirdly, which savegame slot did you use?

I see a problem already. My save game ICON is on the UPPER LEFT side. First Icon. I save to first empty slot. Slot 2.

Problem solved. The icon that gets you INTO the save screen is the little disk in the top left corner, but once you're inside that screen, and have selected a slot, there's a little save button in the bottom left corner that you have to click in order to actually save.

Ah, I see it now. I can tell right now that this game and my tri-focals are going to clash. The next version should have large print for old eyes. Thanks for your prompt support.

We don't disagree. That button is too small, and too far out of the way...

khyberbill,
Your tri-focals might also appreciate using the "f" keyboard shortcut when saving.
