(1) When passive and at a distance does it help to draw near neutrals as a way to confuse the from enemy or deter them opening fire and incurring collateral damage?

(2) In doing the above, does it make more sense to merge with a neutral quickly or do it slowly so as not to appear to be a fast moving warship?

(3) Can ships collide with each other in this game? Is that something which I need to worry about?

(4) Does the AI fire snapshots? So, if the AI takes inbound missle on torpedo on a certain LOB will it return fire with a bearing only attack on that LOB if it has no contact? Or if it has a contact, will it automatically classify it as hostile and return fire?

1) Yes, against a human and under ROE that will punish him for collaterals. No benefit against the AI.

2) Yes against a human. Ai doesn't care.

3) No.

4) Yes with subs and aircraft. Negative IIRC with ships.
