Op- fire problem

Hey all, me and a couple of friends of mine have played SPWAW against each other a lot. Then we decided to try cooperative mode against the AI, just for laughs.

So we had me and my friend on the other side as Germans and the AI on the other side as CCCP. When we started to play, we noticed that we didnt get ANY op-fire. AI sure had his, but we couldnt opfire even once during the whole game. Its kinda nice to see infantry just rushing against our MG42 in an open ground and destroying with a satchel, without the MG firing back even once.

The op fire works fine when fighting against each other, it works fine in solitaire mode as well. Only mode where it doesnt work, is Online mode with AI playing alone on the other side. We have checked all settings...

Has anyone encountered the same problem, and is there a solution?

Thanks in advance

Send Krec a private message if he doesn't respond to this thread.  He has extensive Online Mode experience and might know the answer to your question.

So, we tried to download the game from a different page and it was the 8.20 without any mods or upgrades. And still the AI keeps running over us and we dont get any opportunity fire at all.

At this point the only advice I can offer is to uninstall SPWAW, delete everything related to SPWAW, clean your hard drive, and do a complete fresh install.

Hey try deleteing the "Steel Prefs" file from your save folder...sometimes that helps.

Alby's solution might be better.  It certainly is faster and less painful.  Hope it works.
