I can't get the move whole formation with the "A" hotkey to work. When I press "A" it says something like All B/C/X or whatever but when I go to move in the normal fasion nothing happens. Can someone explain how this works, in steps?

It's actually pretty simple, your formation needs to have an objective set to be able to use the 'move whole formation' option
