Aircraft eratta: RHS Microupdate x.71 issued

The date of the TBF-1 Avenger was challenged - and it is wrong in RHS - but correct in CHS. We were using the date of service delivery - Jan 42 - but this is very wrong in this case. Only a single aircraft was delivered that month - and it and later months production had to be returned to the factory. Service debut in PTO was the Battle of Mideay = 6/42. The number of machines was also excessive, and should be reduced to the rate of its successor model - the TBF-3 - that is 93 per month (down from 142). This is also very close to the CHS value of 90.

A number of cases where miscalculated maneuverability factors have been discovered during the ROC review. Even if we do not adopt the new data, we will back correct errors found in the current data set (actually we do this as it is discovered).

At some point it appears there will be a microupdate for aircraft. This will fold in all detected/reported eratta. At that point either we will adopt the new ROC data - or we will not - but we will correct the eratta in either case.

G4M3m34 (EOS and AIO only) availability date is pushed back to 10/44. Although the base type is the ASW variant, some units run bomber versions. This was first reported in the ROC review thread, but is repeated here for completeness. There were two JNAAF units affected by this change, and they had to operate G5M2m22 aircraft with ASW loadouts between formation and the availablity of this version.

B-17D should have 0 for armor value, 227 mph for cruising speed, 970 minutes for endurance.

There is a technical problem with the F2A-3 Buffalo. This is severe for carrier based aircraft - notably Saratoga's VMF-221 and Lexington's VF-2. So we will be issuing a microupdate to fix all aircraft eratta: x.781 - with aircraft and air group files.

There is a similar problem with the TBF night fighter variant - also affecting two squadrons. These are converted to F6F night fighters until we find a slot for them. You may upgrade a night fighter unit to use the TBF version - and it will work as such - but not on a carrier.

All identified eratta are included. Levels 5 and 6 retain old ROC/maneuverability data. Level 7 has new data.

But ALL levels have fixed problems with the Buffalo and the TBF night fighter.
