I would like to see a future version of MaxFB include a College Dynasty mode. Players automatically graduate after four years (or turn pro after three) and instead of drafting you have to recruit talent and hope it pans out. It would include the ability to create both real and fictional schools and conferences.

I'd stop short of the full management functions and coaching firings, but some players of management sims actually seem to relish that pressure.

If you choose college-junior in the difficulty level when creating the league

players retire after 4 years

To have those players move on to a pro league would be cool [8D]
