The Director's Cut of "The Natural"

Just got this from Amazon a couple of days ago. This is one of my all-time favorite baseball movies, and Barry Levinson now gives us beautiful 5.1 sound and a re-edit.
The first part is what's most dramatically changed. Roy is shown being driven up to the old homestead at the beginning, and flashbacks show his growing up period and his father's death. The movie has some additional scenes and dialogue, but is overall just 6 minutes longer than the original version. However, the pacing has changed, and is designed (I think) for modern sensibilities.
Some of you may prefer the original cut, but I like the new one. None of the magic is gone -- it is just presented in a somewhat different way.
