We are still somewhere in China. Once again we will face the hordes of Chinese. The map covers a front of near 2 and a half miles. We will only have a visability of 200 yds due to a very heavy thunderstorm that is raging and is expected to last the whole battle.

Our emperor has seen fit to give us the honer to lead the advance against the enemy today. We did very well against the Chinese in our last battle. Our men are up for this and eager to once again beat our hated enemys.

It will be very slow going today as we have some very rough terrain to move across. There are also some very low hills we must cross to reach our objectives. Have already laid in a very heavy bombardment prior to our begining the push against the Chinese. We can expect a very heavy concentration of infantry not too sure about what kind of armor they will have. Plan to continue the bombardment as our troops move forward and keep a rolling barrage going slightly in front of them. Hope this makes the enemy keep there heads down until we can get in sight of them.

B Co will have the north flank and move at least a mile and a 1/4 before turning SW to engage there objective. A will have the center and move about the same amount of distance before reaching there objective.

C Co has the south and will move almost the same distance before they can reach there area as well. They will also have a rather large but not high hill in there front as they move forward too.

Filling the Gap between A and C will be a company of Engineers who will move somewhat near the same distance before swinging NW to help with the center objectives . They too will have a couple of low hills they must move over.

This is really slow going. 30 minutes and we have only made 300 yards of the mile we have to cover to reach our objectives. We are only able to cover 50 yards every 5 minutes. Had to send out orders to the recon to slow down. They were getting over 150 yards out in front of our lines and as slow as we move we can not back them up if they run into the enemy as you can only see 200 yards in this thunderstorm. We are cutting our way thru very tall heavy what I call saw grass. Because it cuts you like a saw if you move too fast. Our heavy pants and leggings have really helped this time. Usually they are way too hot but I am thankful we have them this time.

B recon in the north has run into some stragglers left over from our very heavy bombardment. They have either killed them all are chased them towards there rear at the minute. No heavy resistence has been met yet. Lost a sniper to one small group that our guys took out in retaliation.

A in the center has recieved some small arm fire in the center no one down from our side. We are moving froward at all times our men are trying as hard as they can to move as fast as they can under the conditions. It is extremly hard to move our artty forwards under these conditions as well. But the gun crews are doing a herculan job at this as well. All artty is keeping up with our front lines even under very severe trying times as these.

These men I have with me today are very near elite troops and it shows in the way they go about there jobs. It makes me proud to command and to serve with such a great bunch of men.

Our heavy guns have been continuously laying in one of the heaviest bombardments I have ever seen. The only thing is I got a report they have almost used up all there supplys of shells they have on hand today. So with in the next 10 minutes we will no longer have the big guns for the rest of the battle.

Dam this progress is so slow and painful. Not really getting much opposition from the enemy. Have run into a few stragglers but they arent realy putting up much of a fight. I think our big guns took all the fight out of them. We have lost a few men I think some where around 10 or 12 is all. One sniper lost his life when he got too far out in front of the line. We continue to push our way thru the tall grass and pulling our IGs and ATGs along with us. It is hot and dirty work to say the least.

Our big guns have taken a hell of a toll on there infantry. I would say we have counted at least 800 bodys as we move thru the grass. We are getting close to all three of the front objectives. But will take at least another 1/2 hour to take all three due to the slow progress and not there resistence. THis is going to be a very lopsided victory for us today. But never the less it will be another victory for our emperor and our glorious homeland Japan.

2 hours we have fought the terrain as well as the Chinese. And I must say the grass has been tougher then the Chinese today. We have taken all of the front objectives with very little in the loss of life. We have lost no armor at all. There losses have to be staggering. As we move forward we are running into half squads with no fight left in them. Have taken out at least 5 of there tanks. I should say there obsolete tanks as they only have mmg no heavy guns on them at all.

This has been one of the most lopsided fights we have been involved in so far. No real opposition from the enemy today at all. I think our losses will be less then 20 men. Even there artty stunk taking out maybe 3 men today. They only had old outdated 77 MM howitzers firing.

High command is going to be very pleased about today im sure.

The battle is over already didnt seem that long even as slow as we moved across the landscape. Turned my tanks lose and let them run for the rear flags. Didnt help still did not capture the rear ones. Got one of the southern flags that was all. Lost two tanks from trying to move too quick.

The powers that be have declared we fought to a draw I assume because of not taking all the rear flags. We surely inflicted a heck of a lot more hurt on them then they did us. We only lost38 men and two tanks. While we killed 2718 of there men along with 10 artty and 18 tanks.

We have been given orders to move to the nearest port and catch a boat for home. We are to be held out of battle until around December when something big is going to happen. Will be nice to see my wife and children maybe even for Xmas.

There will be no upgrades as there are none better then we already have. Have changed a couple of snipers for tank hunters as we will more then likely go up against the British and there dreaded Tanks. Have also put in requisitions for some ATRs want all the help I can get.
