Could someone clarify what the abbreviations stand for when modifying the hit locations?

Hey BaseballNoob,

pitcher is 1
Catcher is 2
first baseman 3
second baseman 4
third baseman 5
shortstop 6
left fielder 7
center fielder 8
right fielder 9

so if it says 89, place it in the gap between center and right. 13 would be somewhere near the middle of the pitcher and first base, and so on.
D next to the numbers stands for deep
S next to the numbers stands for short
F stands for foul
XD stands for extra deep - I think there's only 3 of them - they are for those really long homeruns to center, left center, and right center.
M stands for middle - for those balls hit back up the middle

Hope this helps. I may have forgot a few.

That helps a lot! Thanks. I wasn't too far off on my guessing. This is one heck of a game/sim, even though my team has the worst record in the league (something like 3-18). I hope I didn't accidentally set some difficulty level somewhere!

The only other thing I see is 'L', which I thought might mean 'Long', but something like 7LS wouldn't make sense. Long Short to Left Field?

L means "Line"  as in a hit down the line.
