The following are the changes from b5

- Cavalry were unable to advance into enemy hexes when stacked with Assault troops
- Morale lost due to lack of food not displayed in history
- Slight reduction to arms and trench purchases
- Slight increase in span of barrage results (average stays the same)
- Post surrender control of hexes outside original territory
- Morale report should start from current turn and go backwards
- Checked isolated cities

Excellent timing!
I just finished a game (it dragged out until 1919).

Playing a solitiare game as the CP, the only thing I've noticed is some units will remain in a hex with enemy. I'm assuming this is sort of an 'engaged' result? [&:] In Belgrade both side remained 'engaged' through the strategic cycle. Can anyone guide me to an explanation of this situation?

Engagements that last longer than an impulse can happen, its part of the design.  Its why the "Withdraw" command exists, so you can pull troops out of such engagements.  It happens in hexes where the defender (and loser) feels it can't pull back and the terrain allows it, such as fortresses and cities.  So you do see this sometimes at Belgrade, Paris, Lemberg etc.

Yes, I've had it happen.

But here's a question, and I don't now if it's a bug or a design feature. I've seen it happen to me and to the AI, though rarely.

I launch an attack from hex A into hex B and move additional troops from hex C into hex A. The attack fails and the troops in B move back to A, but the troops in A that came from C stay put. The result is an overstack--say 18/12!

1) Design or bug?
2) If the former, if I attack an overstacked hex in a subsequent impulse, do all 18 stacking points contribute to the defense?
3) If the forces are mine, is there a penalty involved if I don't clear the overstack?

Thanks

I just got an email from my PBEM opponent claiming he couldn't refit certain units despite being in supply.  Then the same thing thing happened to me- this was in the alps and may be related to the Strategic Movement bug.  It only affects corps that are adjacent to enemy units.  No menu pops up when you click on the unit but it does on the unit right behind it.

I should say I haven't downloaded the new patch yet, so this may be fixed already. Just an FYI.

In the situation Frank mentions above I was not able to Refit engaged units. I was able to withdraw them and reinforce the combat and barrage. All of that makes sense to me.

I did have an Austrian unit in the Serbian mountains at 8% supply during winter. I couldn't do much with them. I figure they must have been conscripts from the city that didn't appreciate good skiing. [8D]

Originally a bug but I kind of liked it so I left it in.

Yes

Not really except that artillery effectiveness would be doubled against all your units in the stack.  And the game will auto-retreat some of them in the retreat phase.

What was the level of supply?  Being in the Alps and on the front there's a good chance the supply level just wasn't high enough.  If it was above 10% I'd be happy to look at the save.

Right, you can't refit units in the same hex as enemy units.

10% supply is required for refits.  The best that can be said for supply between 1% and 10% is that at least you're not losing strength.

Sooooo, just curious. What's a realistic ETA for the next official patch? [&:] There are those out there that will only play the 'official' version. Alas, life without risk... tragic! [8|]

Unless there's any showstoppers in this B6 we'll upload the official one on Tuesday (I won't be around Sunday-Monday).

Well hoping this isn't a show stopper, just some level of ignorance. It's early '15 and my Brits have all starved to death in Egypt. Supply level in all Egypt hexes is 0.

Yep, I get that too.

It is a show stopper but I've fixed it.  "India" is supposed to be its own supply source and as long as the Brits control the Eastern Med, Alexandria and Cairo are fine.
