Russian Upgrades?

Once again, the search function has failed me...

Some time ago, there was a discussion here about Russian units upgrading in 1945, and there were particular units that were supposed to upgrade at that time, and how it didn't make much sense to upgrade them before that. There was a list of units (by editor number) given.

Unfortunately, i thought i'd come back later and make a note of which units were involved... but now, i can't find it... [8|] [&:]

Does anyone have a lits of these units?? [&:]

Of course... [;)]

Here are my findings. Several strange things happened, because I moved the cursor over the one hex with Soviet troops and the hex information didn´t matched with the units in the hex.

All upgrades are to infantry corps unless noted. Device number listed.

Nahkodia
2216
2193
2198
2201 ==> ARM Corps
2226 ==> ART Corps

Vladivostok
2217

Imam
2191
2192
2227 ==> ART Corps

Khabarovsk
2210
2218
2212

Blagoviesk 67,25
2207 ==> ART Corps

68,25
2190
2206 ==Z ART Corps

68,20
2189

Borzya
2164
2165

Tamsag
2166
2167
2168
2170 ==> ART Corps
2171 ==> ART Corps
2182 ==> ARM Corps
2183 ==> ARM Corps
2184 ==> ARM Corps
2185 ==> ARM Corps

Notes:
In AB map Tamsag is not connected to the transport line of Manchuria, so the strike force here, is isolated in all effects.

At 68,31 there was a group of units, I passed the cursor over them and showed IDs of 2191,2192,2186, but they were not clickable. Two of these IDs were at Imam(2191,2192).

Keep in mind Bliztk used CHS for his tests. However, since the slots and the upgrades are hardcoded I guess that stock isn't different.

Also, see this thread: tm.asp?m=1105280

Thanks!!! [8D]
Actually, i am playing CHS, so this is good that the tests were done on it.

i'll have to go over these carefully... for some reason i thought there were aircraft involved... maybe some of the units listed are aircraft.

Anyway, thanks again!! [&o] [&o] [&o]

EDIT: OK - this wasn't the thread i was looking for (i am pretty sure it was in the support section since i almost never go into the Scenario Editor section) - but hopefully this is the info i need.

OK - good to know... i had deliberately not upgrading aircraft thinking it would all be undone later on.

Thanks for the data. I discovered these units [and aircraft are included, ranging from modern LAG-7 to the ubiquitous I-15] the hard way. They appeared in these cities even though I had conquered Russia in 44 in my stock game and in several cases had garrisons occupying the cities where they spawned. I guess these are to ensure Allies do the Aug45 campaign, but it sure raised Hell with my Kuantung Army forces, causing me to go to the China garrison for help. Fortunately, I lacked political points to draw much out of Manchuria for other fronts. I thought it very rude that they did not come in via Irkutsk and the Trans-Sib, where at least I had a strong division in the next town to act as warning/delay. These Red Army corps are huge  by game standards, most in 900-1100 assault point range, with heavy armor, etc. The only theing tha saved me is that they came in with no supply and the garrison cities had little on hand, I having grouped almost all the Kuantung at Vlad for possible shipment else where. In the scramble, Khabarovsk has been lost and retaken, the industry ground down in the two assaults.

This does explain the limited Rus OB in the stock game and some portion of these units realistically ought to appear early if one attacks the USSR. I am glad I did not face them back then, in full supply!!
