Damaged Pilot Altitude Changing

When a pilots plane gets damaged and looses its weapons it gets a small red circle over the graphic. The thing is, when selecting a plane to move, if you click near that circle it changes a planes altitude (not necessarily that planes). I can repeat this every time.
