Production Assistant/Templates?

I picked this up on a whim, and it looks good so far. I admit, I haven't had much time to play yet, what with the new patch for EUIII, a Crusader Kings AAR I'm working on, the Strategic Command expansion pack, and the Hellgate London beta (it's a good time to be a gamer) but I don't think I'm going to regret buying it. It seems like a lot of fun.
One thing struck me though, maybe I'm missing something, but making units seems kinda fiddly and takes a lot of clicking around. What would be really nice would be some sort of Production Assistant. So, for example, I could create a custom 'template' of say 60 Inf, 10 morters, 8 machine guns, and 5 trucks and call it 'Standard Infantry'. Then I could just assign a city a 'template', telling it to make 'Standard Infantry' (or 'anti-tank infantry' or 'air strike squad' or whatever) and it would create the nessecary peices and automatically drop them into a unit for me. It might take a few turns to finish up a larger unit, but it could tell me in the start of turn production summary that X number of 'Standard Infantry' had been finished, and I could just get on with the job of fighting.
That would be so awesome, especially on large scenarios, and it save so much time clicking and dragging and micromanaging production.
Any chance of seeing something like this?
